The historic swimming pool was also built in 1939 to complement the hotel.  It was designed by renowned regional architect Paul Williams. It is known as the Esther Williams pool, since her movies showcasing her aquatic skills were shot on-site at this pool. The original cabanas remain standing and its waters are heated by the natural geothermal springs year-round.
