There are two geothermal
wells which supply approximately 45,640,000 gallons per year. In
addition to these manmade wells there are numerous "hot springs" that emerge
from the ground cavities. Over the years, these "hot springs"
provided therapeutic treatments for guests, including hot mud baths and steam
rooms in manmade "steam caves". The geothermal wells provide, even
today, hot water for domestic and hotel use as well as heating of the swimming
pool and thermal wading pools. It is said that the geothermal
springs at Arrowhead Springs Resort are the hottest in the world at 202 degrees
Fahrenheit, with Baden Baden and Karlsruhe spas in Europe coming in second and
third place. |
