Open space and watershed at Arrowhead Springs consists of 1,400 acres. The land is characterized by indigenous vegetation, undisturbed landscapes, blue-line streams, natural springs, wildlife habitats, fire roads, hiking and horseback riding trails. Bordering the developed properties are vineyards which are irrigated with greywater and provide fire protection for the Arrowhead Springs Resort community. The open space/watershed is owned and managed by Arrowhead Water & Power, the on-site utility and infrastructure company. In addition, AWP owns and manages the private neighborhood parks and the public Botanical Gardens which are located adjacent to Lake Vonette in Village Walk.
Arrowhead Springs contains a rich system of interconnected trails that provides the resident or visitor with an array of mobility and recrational opportunities and provides access to every aspet of the plan. The trails system is comprised of both on-road bicycle trails and off-road multi-purpose trails for pedestrian and equestrian.
The park system for Arrowhead Springs consists of both mini-parks and community parks, as well as the gardens and open spaces distributed throughout the entire property. The 13-9 acre public Botanical Garden is centrally located adjacent to hotels, residences, and the commercial Village Walk. Within each residential community there are a total of 7.1 acres of private parks. |
