Parcel 2 is a commercial land use designation which allows for a combination of lodging, destination resort, eating and drinking establishments, personal services, retail, as well as recreational, entertainment, and educational uses. This land use district is specifically created for Arrowhead Springs, in order to establish a ‘destination resort’ atmosphere.

Parcel 2 has been specifically designated for a health spa resort. The site occupies an existing facility that includes dormitory buildings, conference, classroom, dining and kitchen amenities totaling over 60,000 sq.ft. The parcel also includes an existing historic swimming pool and changing rooms, known as the Esther Williams pool, since the Hollywood “Million Dollar Mermaid” actress, Esther Williams, filmed many of her episodes at this location. The existing facilities, including the pool and its cabanas, will be renovated to accommodate a new world-class spa and health resort. The spa will include 50 luxury guest suites. The services will feature a variety of massage treatments, aromatherapy, hydro-therapies, mud baths, and health treatments combining Eastern and Western philosophies. The spa will also provide training classrooms, nutrition-based café, herbal tea and juice bar, yoga, arts programs, beauty salon, and recreational amenities. These may include board games, a maze or labyrinth, backpacking, and horse-back riding.
           

Since the 22 acres is situated in a remote portion of Arrowhead Springs, it offers a quiet, reflective, and secure retreat for guests. It is within walking distance from the historic hotel and will offer access to its services to hotel guests and residents of Arrowhead Springs alike.
